Haven't been simming much lately...

I've been spending the past couple days reading some of the more popular legacies I hadn't read or hadn't finished reading yet- procrastinating, really, to avoid shooting some plotty scenes. Plus, my laptop is getting into the habit of trying to burn my hands when I touch it- I figure it's because it's been so warm here that it can't really cool down properly even when it's shut off or the vents have space to let air past them- but it makes me not want to have my computer running sims because of how much work that seems to be for it. I will get around to shooting the prologue, at least, sometime soon. I'm just not sure when, I have at least one entire lot to make, plus three sims I don't already have ready for this. I'm beginning to wonder how everyone does it- maybe they're just not as lazy as I am? Ah, well. It *will* get done, I promise.

I had problems with overheating with my old laptop. My solution was to prop it up a couple of inches and run a fan across the bottom. That, and make sure that the internal fan/cooling system is hooked up properly (which was the problem with mine).

I probably wouldn't be trying to play either, given that overheating=shutdown.
